Uniswap books $14.81M in September fees, Robinhood Chain delivers 53%

Token Terminal data compiled October 17 pins Uniswap's September 2026 fee take at $14.81M, with Robinhood Chain alone contributing roughly $7.8M at a 0.465% capture rate.

Uniswap's September 2026 protocol-fee revenue hit $14.81 million, a monthly record, with the Robinhood Chain deployment on its own accounting for about $7.8 million — roughly 53% of the total and more than every other Uniswap deployment combined. The breakdown comes from Token Terminal on-chain data compiled in early October and surfaced by Crypto Briefing on October 17. It is the first full month in which Uniswap has collected the 0.05% protocol fee on Robinhood Chain pools; collection switched on July 27, 2026, four weeks after the chain itself launched on Arbitrum Orbit on July 1.

What happened

Token Terminal's dataset puts total Uniswap fees across all chains at about $14.7M–$14.81M for September, depending on the cut-off window. Robinhood Chain contributed roughly $7.8M on the full-month basis, and about $7.1M (57.3%) on the September 1–23 slice that The Defiant later cited from the same provider.

The fee math is the story. On Robinhood Chain, Uniswap captures roughly 0.465% of every traded dollar as fees. The global Uniswap average sits at 0.214%. The gap is a function of pool mix — Robinhood Chain's volume concentrates in tokenized-stock pools priced in USDC with wider effective spreads than vanilla ERC-20 pairs — not a change in Uniswap's fee tier.

Volume context

  • September 1, 2026: Robinhood Chain processed $1.95 billion in total daily volume, of which $1.75 billion cleared through Uniswap pools.
  • Launch-to-September 23: Robinhood Chain generated roughly $50.2M in cumulative Uniswap transaction-fee revenue, per Token Terminal.
  • Early October 2026: Daily transactions on Robinhood Chain were already down more than 40% from the September peak.

Where the fees go

The September haul routes into UNIfication, the buyback-and-burn program that Uniswap governance extended to v4 pools after a 93% Snapshot temp check in July. Protocol fees collected across supported chains buy UNI on open markets and burn it; Robinhood Chain's $7.8M September contribution now feeds the same TokenJar plumbing already running on v2 and v3 revenue.

Numbers block

  • Sept Uniswap total fees: ~$14.81M (Token Terminal, cross-chain).
  • Robinhood Chain share: ~$7.8M (~53%).
  • Capture rate on Robinhood Chain: 0.465%.
  • Capture rate, Uniswap all-chains average: 0.214%.
  • Protocol-fee switch-on date, Robinhood Chain: July 27, 2026.
  • Fee tier: 0.05% protocol component on top of LP fees.

What to watch

  1. The October curve. Robinhood Chain's daily transactions already fell more than 40% from September's peak; whether October still clears $10M of Uniswap fees is the fastest signal on whether this is a durable deployment or a launch-month spike.
  2. Tokenized-stock pool mix. If Robinhood keeps directing stock-token flow to Uniswap-only pools rather than its own Pleiades AMM, the fee concentration persists.
  3. UNIfication TokenJar flows. The visible buyback-and-burn volume for UNI should scale with the September number; watch the TokenJar contracts on Base, Arbitrum and Robinhood Chain.

Pattern

Uniswap's fee economics have twice before leaned heavily on a single deployment — Base in early 2024, Unichain in late 2025. A 53% dependence on one four-month-old L2 is the sharpest version of that pattern to date, and it tightens with every stock-token market cycle. The protocol has published no plan to diversify away from it, and the UNIfication framework rewards concentration rather than smoothing it: wherever fees flow, UNI burns.
